Architecture by Design was established 15 years ago, in 1992, by Dwight N. Gilliland.  Dwight, Owner and Principal Architect, brings to the firm 27 years of consulting in the architectural field, with the last 19 as a registered architect.  Dwight’s background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technology University. He is licensed in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia; and is a member of AIA & NFPA. In addition to Dwight, our 6-person office includes 2 Project Managers, 2 C.A.D. Technicians and a part-time Office Manager.  Our team has over 75 years combined experience.

Our original scope of services focuses mainly on commercial projects, which over the past 15 years has developed a significant satisfied client base. Through our ability to meet clients’ schedules, we have developed strong relationships prompting returning clients and referrals. ABD’s goal is to provide practical solutions to the challenges posed by our clients by producing excellent projects that are completed on time and within budget.

Our office is located at a project we completed drawings for at 5622 Mayberry Square, Sylvania, Ohio, just west of Toledo, Ohio.
